Kidney disease is a serious illness that can affect anyone at any age. Help the Kidney Foundation make a difference and be a part of the 10th Annual Kidney Walk on Sunday, September 24th. Register and help fundraise online at kidneywalkbc.ca. Raise $100 and receive an official Kidney Walk t-shirt. Every kilometer counts in the fight against kidney disease. Registration begins at 1:00 PM and the Walk starts at 2:00 PM.
In 1980, Terry Fox ran across Canada to raise money for cancer research and awareness for the disease. Since Terry Fox started his Marathon of Hope over $700 million dollars has been raised for cancer research in Canada and around the world.
Sunday, September 17 marks the 2017 Terrace Terry Fox Run.
Pledge forms can be picked up at the Sportsplex administration office or go to Terry Fox website and print your own. Bring pledge forms to registration.

Parkinson SuperWalk is the single most important provincial and national awareness and fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC). Over 20 communities across the province organize walks during the weekend of September 9th – 10th, and 16th while raising money for research and support services through individual pledges and corporate sponsorships. This year, our goal is to attract over 2,400 walkers and raise at least $460,000 in BC.
Sunday, September 17 Join Canadians as they run to remember the iconic Terry Fox. Terrace's run is at 1:00pm with registration starting at 12:30. Registration table is in the George Little House parking lot. Come on out and run - or walk - and bring your friends and family!
All talks are free and open to everyone. No need to RSVP. Feel free to bring a lunch. There will be coffee and tea.
