FireSmart is a program dedicated to wildfire prevention, preparedness and mitigation within our local communities. It is here to help you get started and make proven steps toward protecting your home and your community from wildfire.

Join the community feedback session to help steer the future of the Terrace Skatepark! Your feedback will help inform the feasibility study for a new or revitalized skatepark.

Annual Closure at the Terrace & District Aquatic Centre: July 6-27, 2025

We’re gearing up for our annual closure at the TDAC. This annual closure is needed to complete maintenance, repairs and deep cleaning work that can’t take place during the rest of the year. 

We are closing during these dates as July is statistically the quietest month at the TDAC, with many people away on vacation or pursuing outdoor adventures locally. 

We will reopen on Monday, July 28.

Join us for our beloved annual celebration at Heritage Park Museum for an afternoon filled with fun, learning, and community spirit!

We will have live music, games, artists, hands-on crafts, educational activities, and a silent auction, plus delicious food from a local food truck, free cake and drinks, and more surprises to come.

Admission is by donation, and all gate proceeds go to support a local charity.

The Terrace Fire Fighters are hosting their annual pancake breakfast on Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1 at the Terrace Fire Hall. Breakfast starts at 8am and will wrap up around 11am.

Celebrate Pride month at a Pride Picnic hosted at the Heritage Park Museum on June 21, from 1-3 PM. Games, snacks, and crafts for all ages. Everyone welcome. 

We'll be in George Little Park from 1 to 5pm on Friday, June 20 for our first ever 'Popsicles in the Park' event to help celebrate June being Recreation & Parks month! Join us for an afternoon of fun games, crafts, face painting, an obstacle course, and more!

Join in activities like a bike obstacle course, a story walk with the library, arts & crafts, and more! You don't  have to bring a bike to join in the fun, but if you do, don't forget your helmet! To celebrate this year's Earth Day, join SkeenaWild, Greater Terrace Beautification Society, the City of Terrace and the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine to clean up our communities, trails and rivers on Sunday, April 27th, 2025! 

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at Heritage Park Museum!

Bring your own Easter basket and search for eggs hidden around the park. Collect eggs and trade them for chocolate. Enjoy a variety of spring-themed games, crafts, and activities, such as an egg painting craft, planting flowers, Easter Bingo, and more!
