On January 11, 2023, City Bylaw worked with partner agencies to complete a clean-up at the site of the temporary encampment at the old Co-op property to address safety concerns.
The temporary encampment had been vacant for three weeks, and the stretch of warmer weather allowed access and the ability to remove previously frozen items. Considering these factors, City staff and partner agencies felt the timing was appropriate to undertake a clean-up. Read more
