Public Skate - all ages
Everyone is welcome during our public skates! Skate rentals are available. 

Family Skate - all ages
A great opportunity for parents to bring their children out on the ice without worrying about the hustle and bustle. 

Family Sticks & Pucks - all ages
Sharpen your stick handling and shooting skills using the provided foam pucks. Please note: real pucks are prohibited due to safety and insurance; anyone caught using real pucks will be asked to leave. The session does not allow goalies. Skate rentals are available. All ages.

Community Laps
Just like Public Skate, but on your lunch break! Enjoy the peace and quiet as you get some exercise. 

Adult Figure Skating - ages 16+
An opportunity to dust off your figure skates and spin and glide across the ice. 

Noon Hour Hockey - ages 18+
This fun game of shinny is great for your lunch break exercise! Registration opens on the day of the skate at 8:30am. Space for 18 skaters and 2 goalies. Spots fill up fast and the first to register and pay, get to play. Call the Sportsplex at 250-615-3000 and pay with a credit card. Or register and pay in person. 

Skate rentals are available during Public and NID Skates, and Family Sticks & Pucks for $3/person. They are also available for school groups renting the ice for $2/person. Groups and individuals renting the ice privately have the option to pay a batch price of $50 for skate rentals for anyone using it during the ice rental.   

Helmet rentals are also available but we have a limited number of helmets and so encourage skaters to bring their own. The cost to rent a helmet during Public and NID Skates, and Family Sticks & Pucksis $3/person, and for school groups, $2/person.

SPONSOR A PUBLIC SKATE

This is a great way to thank the community and celebrate the holidays!

Cost per sponsored ice time (12:30pm to 2pm) at the City of Terrace Sportsplex is $350. Skate and helmet rentals included. In return, we’ll promote your sponsorship on the City’s website, social media platforms and info screens at the Sportsplex.

Dates available are Saturdays and Sundays in December: 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22
