TDCSS Big Brothers Big Sisters of Terrace will be holding our 5th annual Kids N Kops camp in partnership with the Terrace RCMP August 8th-12th, 2016.  This is a free, week long day camp from 9am-4pm for children 9-14 years old and all lunches and snacks will be included.  The goal is to foster positive relationships through fun activities and field trips that introduce children the work of a RCMP officer.

This Fishing Derby is a favorite of the locals! It also brings in many fishermen from out of town.  Cash prizes for the biggest Salmon caught on the river and many hidden weight categories! Kids are welcome and encouraged to participate as we offer levels of prizes for them as well.  Grand Prize Draw is a return trip for 2 to Vancouver via Hawkair and $500 spending money!

The celebrations will be filled with family friendly fun for everyone. There will be live music, dancing, and lots of games and contests all day long. Dr. Fishy is headlining the event at 2:30 p.m. Enjoy a multicultural culinary experience with our numerous vendors, including a salmon barbecue. Local artists will be exhibiting their work in our log cabins, and we will be holding a massive silent auction. Free cupcakes will be handed out at 12 p.m. after Rheann Armes signs O' Canada. Admission is free.

The Family Caregiver Support group meets Tuesday one a month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Terraceview Lodge. This free monthly group provides a forum for education and information, sharing common experineces, practical tips and strategies, and emotional support. Registration required.
