An ACP is a person’s future healthcare decisions, made in advance of a time when you may not be unable to communicate with your doctor. It provides guidance to your family and to your health care team. Many people have taken our ACP workshop which teaches how to make an ACP but when asked later if they have actually completed their plan the answer was usually no.

The Terrace Hospice Society is hosting its annual Celebrate a Life gathering. This is a non-denominational candlelight ceremony, honoring those loved ones whom we have lost. This ceremony is open to adults and children. There is no charge to attend and everyone is welcome. You are invited to bring an unwrapped gift in honor of your loved ones. Donations will be given to the Salvation Army's Christmas campaign.

This is a FREE presentation presented by the BC Professional Chartered Accountants as part of Financial Literacy Month. Everyone and anyone welcome to come. Pizza and refreshments provided. What we'll talk about: How credit works and how debt accumulates, good debt vs. bad debt, what you need to know about credit rating, and how to take control of your finances. The Death Café is hosted by the Terrace Hospice Society and is a place to talk about death, dying, bereavement, and to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. These gatherings are held internationally and are dedicated to discussing death openly. It’s not a counselling session but simply community members coming together in a relaxed atmosphere while sharing respectful and engaging conversation. Free to attend and coffee is on us.
