We Are Each Others Allies: Queering it up...Stories of strength and resilience with Cai Krikorian Come join Cai for an informal evening of shared stories, Cai will talk about her meandering identity... legal name change... not quite lesbian... not quite trans... queer seems to fit for now... maybe non binary feels like a better fit. Cai's history of feeling isolated and struggling with mental health issues and finally finding a sense of community and chosen family with other misfits in the north.

Join us for the 2019 Symposium: Learning Transformation on October 25, 2019, at Coast Mountain College in Terrace, B.C. Event Description: With an emphasis on experiential place-based learning, the 2019 Symposium: Learning Transformation is focused on the transformation of our approaches and practice to teaching and learning. Participants and presenters from K-12 and post-secondary are invited to attend. There will be a pre-conference evening event on October 24, 2019. There will also be a post-conference event on October 26, 2019.
Liberating Structures are a collection of 33+ powerful activities that can be used wherever you facilitate: classrooms, meetings, planning sessions, team days, workshops, presentations, etc. They are seriously fun, purpose-driven methods to unleash and include everyone to work together toward productive endpoints. Whether you just want your meetings to be a bit more lively and inclusive, or you want to help change the world, consider adding Liberating Structures to your facilitation repertoire! This Liberating Structures workshop is being held the day before the 2019 Symposium.

You don't have to identify as being from any particular cultural background to participate. NYSHN Facilitators have traveled across Canada listening and learning from youth of all backgrounds. Hear what they have learned about youth leadership and empowerment in sexual education - and how you can talk to YOUR youth.
