CLEVER Modelling Updates:

The River Forecast Centre has issued a High Streamflow Advisory for the Skeena River that affects the City of Terrace. Their latest CLEVER modelling shows water levels are predicted to reach 20-year flows over the weekend, rather than the 100-year levels previously forecasted. This new data is improved over the previous information provided but is still significant. The current warming weather is leading to increased snowmelt rates and river runoff, while the forecasted rain later this week will potentially add to the river runoff.

All information, updates, and resources will be provided at https://www.terrace.ca/flooding2022 and shared through the City’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. Our next planned update will be on June 2.
