Parents/caregivers:
• SCS Member – there is no cost to belay your child at either event and no belay test needed if you
have completed a valid test previously with SCS
• New SCS Member – you must purchase your membership at site for 25$ and be belay certified
prior to belaying a child (see below)
• Inexperienced belayers – we do not offer belay training at this event, but will have volunteers on
site to help get kids on a rope
Belay test: Must complete one on site at the first visit unless you hold a valid belay test. We strongly
recommend completing belay test prior to event or registering for a belay test for the event to avoid
waits. Alternate test times are May 12 (5-7 pm) or May 15 (8-10 pm).
Waivers: Must be signed with ID prior to activity and parents/guardians must sign on behalf of minors.
