The Pacific Northwest Music Festival will be held on April 12 - 28, 2018 this year. These monthly meetings happen on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. All committee members are encouraged to attend as we begin to prepare for this event. If you are interested in helping out with the planning or to be a volunteer, please come to the meeting. Heritage Park would like to invite you to attend the launch of our recent oral history project titled, "Preserving the Past for the Present". Please join us on Saturday, May 12th, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Heritage Park to celebrate our launch, share stories, and to thank all those involved.
This practical, highly interactive one-day session builds skills and confidence to lead groups. By the end of the session you will have explored different types of leadership, practiced how to convene good meetings, and gain knowledge on how to have people work together in fun and engaging ways.

This one-day workshop introduces people to the concept of reflection-on-action. Participants are put through a reflective process to pull out learnings from their lived experience and to find a meaning in the work they do. Participants practice leading reflection and leave this session with a complete reflection-on-action process and tools.

The 3rd Annual Business Walk will take place on April 19th. City Council, staff as well as partner organization volunteers will be canvassing the business community to gather invaluable knowledge on our local economy. See you on the street!
Cake and coffee will be served as well as a small token of our appreciation will be presented to our volunteer attendees. All volunteers are welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing you there!
The Pacific Northwest Music Festival is an annual event in which students from all over the northwest region come together in friendly competition to improve their skills in their area of discipline: piano, voice, dance, instrumental, choral, speech arts, and band. Professional teachers are brought in from various locations around Canada to adjudicate this event. It culminates with the Scholarship Night on April 27, 2018, Friday at 6:30 pm at the REM Lee theatre where the best performers in each discipline compete for locally sponsored awards.
Vintage Pairing and the Heritage Park Museum are organizing the Terrace Tea Cup and Community Event to seek information on Terrace tea cups made in the 1950's. The annual general meeting of the Terrace and District Museum Society, which operates Heritage Park, is at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28th in the Dance Hall at Heritage Park. Join us for baked goods, coffee, and a short report on 2017 operations and our plans for 2018. We have many exciting projects on the go and would love to hear all of your feedback. Please come out and support us and our goal to preserve Terrace’s rich history.

On March 15 , 2018 at 10:00 a.m. we will be hosting a youth series regarding online use, consent, and issues affecting teens 12-14 years old. It will be led by Cst. Crystal Evelyn with the Terrace RCMP Community Department. This event is free and will be held at the Terrace Women's Centre.
Mark Perry and special guests perform an evening concert to launch Mark's new 2018 album, "Right Here". The album is rooted in the Northwest and offers insight into this rural and somewhat exotic part of BC - big rivers, mighty mountains, sweeping wildfires, First Nations basketball... amoung other unique musical tales! Right Here was recorded right here in the northwest. This is Mark Perry's 11th album.

The final judging will be a public event on Friday, April 27 at the Terrace Sportsplex.
This event is free and open to all. There will be music, celebrations, food, art, and a number of speakers.
