Terrace Parkinson SuperWalk

People across the province are getting together take part in Parkinson SuperWalk, the single most important provincial and national awareness and fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC)! Join your community at Grand Trunk Pathway (Millenium Trail) in Terrace on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 (Registration: 9:00 AM; Walk Start: 9:30 AM) to support people living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones in your community. The walk is open to everyone and there are two ways to fundraise!

Caregivers, breastfeeding, and formula-feeding moms welcome! Drop-in for coffee, tea, a cold drink and relax away from home. We have couches, a diaper changing station, and lots of toys for the little ones.

Summer Arts Festival

The Terrace & District Arts Council is pleased to present the Summer Arts Festival during Riverboat Days from August 7 - 10, 2018. The festival boasts 12 local artist-led workshops at the Terrace Art Gallery, Heritage Park Museum, and The Painted Squirrel Art Studio. The festival will also include a Lunch & Learn Lecture Series with local experts discussing a diverse range of topics. Lunch included! YVC Soapbox Derby 2018

YVC Soapbox Derby 2018: At Skeena Mall, Sunday, August 5th 2018, Volunteer Terrace will be hosting a fundraising event intended to raise a money for community programs. This fundraising event intends to raise a minimum of $10,000 to support the work, programs, and services of YVC. Canada Day

Heritage Park will be hosting their annual Canada day event. This event will feature a silent auction, artist, pony ride, live music, food, and games for the entire family to enjoy. It is free admission and everyone is welcome!

Yoga in the Park

Back by popular demand, the City of Terrace is once again offering (free!) Yoga in the Park, all summer long, in George Little Park. We will feature 2-3 different instructors over the course of the summer. Teaching in June will be Sarah Parnofsky.

Classes will be held rain or shine, if raining we move to the covered stage area.

  • The classes are open to all levels and ages.

  • Please  bring your own mat if you have one, the instructor will have a few extras on hand.
