The Terrace & District Arts Council is pleased to present the Summer Arts Festival during Riverboat Days from August 7 - 10, 2018. The festival boasts 12 local artist-led workshops at the Terrace Art Gallery, Heritage Park Museum, and The Painted Squirrel Art Studio. The festival will also include a Lunch & Learn Lecture Series with local experts discussing a diverse range of topics. Lunch included! YVC Soapbox Derby 2018: At Skeena Mall, Sunday, August 5th 2018, Volunteer Terrace will be hosting a fundraising event intended to raise a money for community programs. This fundraising event intends to raise a minimum of $10,000 to support the work, programs, and services of YVC. Heritage Park will be hosting their annual Canada day event. This event will feature a silent auction, artist, pony ride, live music, food, and games for the entire family to enjoy. It is free admission and everyone is welcome!
Back by popular demand, the City of Terrace is once again offering (free!) Yoga in the Park, all summer long, in George Little Park. We will feature 2-3 different instructors over the course of the summer. Teaching in June will be Sarah Parnofsky.
Classes will be held rain or shine, if raining we move to the covered stage area.
The classes are open to all levels and ages.
Please bring your own mat if you have one, the instructor will have a few extras on hand.

The MS Society’s BC & Yukon Division is hosting an education session on Mood Changes and MS on Monday, June 18th at the Terrace Public Library for Terrace and area residents. The MS Society-hosted session will focus on mood changes in MS and will share tools for managing some of the common mood-related side effects of multiple sclerosis, and foster a conversation that will include people with MS, their family and close friends.

A movie fundraiser will take place on June 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the REM Lee Theatre located at 4920 Straume Avenue, Terrace B.C. Matt Smiley's documentary "Highway of Tears" will be showing and a panel discussion with the documentarian, local advocates, and national advocates will follow.
