Harvest Book Sale

Terrace Women's Resource Centre presents: DYING WITHOUT A WILL — TIPS ON MAKING A WILL Some people are considered not capable of making a Will due to the legal requirements. This may affect someone with a disability from birth (special needs). It can also affect an adult who put off making a Will and now has advanced dementia. What happens in these cases, according to the law? For the majority of British Columbians who can make a Will, we’ll offer some tips and resources. Nidus is a non-profit, charitable organization that was set up by seniors and disability groups.

Advanced Voting

Advanced voting for the 2018 general election is available from 8 am to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 10. Voting will be held at the Terrace Sportsplex Multipurpose Room, 3320 Kalum Street. 

An additional advanced voting opportunity will be held at the same location on Wednesday, October 17. General voting day is Saturday, October 20, 2018.

Joint ownership is NOT a substitute for making documents in case of incapacity, for end-of-life, and other support needs. Learn about recent court cases that have led to new cautions about joint ownership.

Moms, partners, and children are welcome to come raise awareness and support for breastfeeding in Terrace and the world! La Leche League Terrace invites you to a special mom's drop-in 'competition' to have the most babies 'latched on' in our community. We'll have some food and drink, and make connections. Alzheimer Society of B.C presents a free workshop, open to everyone living and working in the community, to provide you with an introduction to dementia and help you to recognize when someone may be living with the disease. It includes helpful strategies and tips for communicating with people who are living with dementia and where you can go for more help. Ultimately, this workshop aims to bring us one step closer to a dementia-friendly province where people living with dementia are supported and included in their communities.
