Fire Department
On August 30, 2018 at approximately 10:22 pm Terrace and Thornhill Fire Departments responded to reports of a structure fire on Doll St. on Brauns Island. The Terrace Fire Department responded within minutes and found the garage fully involved. The Thornhill Fire Department arrived and established a water supply.
The fire was extinguished using multiple apparatus, 15 Terrace Fire Department members as well as numerous Thornhill Fire Department members. The fire caused extensive damage to a large shop and equipment, however, crews were able to save the house located on the property. For more information please read the news release:
