27th Annual School Band Telethon

The Terrace/Thornhill Parents for Music Society presents the 27th Annual School Band Telethon!

Music students from Skeena Middle School and Caledonia will be performing LIVE on Sunday, March 5th at the REM Lee Theatre for their biggest fundraiser of the year!

You can support this event by watching the Telethon LIVE on the REM Lee Theatre's YouTube Channel, coming in person to enjoy some live music, and calling in to our pledge line 250-635-9777 during the event to donate! ALL proceeds go directly to these music programs!!!

Resource and accompanying full-day workshop were created through a national process involving Indigenous sport and physical activity leaders throughout Canada, with the purpose of establishing culturally tailored resources that inspires community leaders to deliver programs that promote the holistic development of their participants.  

Terrace Hospice Society: Book Club

• Terrace Hospice Society uses our extensive reading list with topics covering death, dying, caregiving, and grieving to allow participants to share their thoughts. • Sessions usually only cover one or two chapters to allow for more in-depth discussions. • Terrace Hospice Society hosts Book Club every Monday from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.

Terrace Hospice Society: Death Café

When

Death Cafés are gatherings held dedicated to publicly discussing death with the intent of normalizing conversations surrounding death and dying. Death Cafés are not a counselling session but rather just a group of people coming together in a relaxed and respectful atmosphere, engaging in conversation, and enjoying coffee.

Terrace Hospice Society hosts Death Cafés on the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

ValhallaFest

ValhallaFest returns to Northwest BC, announcing a new acoustic stage and artistic line-up ValhallaFest will return to Terrace from June 24-26 for 3 days of music, art, and community.

It has been 5 years since local music lovers first gathered on the purpose built ValhallaFest site, held in a beautiful old-growth forest on the Zymagotitz River. ValhallaFest CEO Ray Pedersen is excited to return the event to full capacity in 2022, announcing an expanded artistic line-up and various site enhancements today.

Terrace CDC Fundraiser Golf Scramble & Dinner

Teams of 4 (or enter a team or we can find players for you to join) to play 9 holes of golf for $70 per person, tee off at 2:00pm, dinner is $35.00 per person and starts at 6:00 pm. All participants must register ahead. For registration form please email Mary-Anne at barrons6@telus.net subject: CDC golf. Proceeds raised will go toward creating more therapy space.
