The City of Terrace has postponed the opening date of the Ferry Island Campground until June 1, in alignment with BC Parks' ban on camping in provincial parks. Staff will continue to monitor updates from BC Parks in the coming weeks.

In addition, please note that trails at Ferry Island remain open, and staff are continuing to ensure all orders and recommendations are being followed for the health and safety of visitors. All visitors are reminded to observe signage at Ferry Island and at other City of Terrace trails. There are more than 8 km of trails on Ferry Island to help users maintain proper physical distancing. Visitors are encouraged to do their part to manage this; if during their visit they feel they are unable to maintain these distancing measures, it is advised to not use the trails.
