Terrace has a vibrant, diverse business community with more than 1100 active businesses. In partnership with other business service organizations in Terrace, the City coordinates annual Business Walks and in 2018 the 3rd annual Walk was completed. These surveys identify trends and factors that contribute to business success and are used by partner organizations to inform policies, programs and advocacy efforts.
There are a wide variety of business service organizations available to those wishing to start of expand a business in our community. Three great resources are the Economic Development Portal, the Small Business Resources Factsheet the 2017 Terrace Business Organizations info sheet.
The Terrace Business Resource Center annually produces the Industrial Resources Service Directory which is a useful guide to anyone seeking services for their business in Terrace.
To promote buying local, the City also promotes the Love Terrace program in partnership with Northern Development Initiative Trust. This program provides support to participating local, independent businesses through marketing and in the near future, training will also be offered.
