International Overdose Awareness Day 2023
George Little Park
11:00 am-3:00 pm
International Overdose Awareness Day, initiated in 2001 in Melbourne, is the world's largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.
At the local event in Terrace, the day will include a land acknowledgement, drumming circle, BBQ lunch, and 50/50 draw. Activities include rock painting, Naloxone training, story sharing, a smudge tent, and medicine making. Jolene Prince will be offering an eagle fanning ceremony for anyone in need of healing. Everyone is welcome to attend.
