Cheers to Health Care Workers

Parade through town planned for tonight

Cheers to Health Care Workers

Emergency Services

The Terrace Fire Department is joining forces with other local emergency services from the area to spread good cheer and thanks to our local health care workers and other front-line staff tonight at 5 pm by driving past Mills Memorial Hospital and other facilities around town. See the graphic above or click here for the proposed route through the community.

Participants include the Thornhill Fire Department, Terrace RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, the Terrace Sheriff’s Office, and more—we expect upwards of 30 vehicles to join in!

Remember the reason these emergency services are doing this: our health care workers need our support and need us to stay healthy and out of the hospitals, so please practise safe distancing from others and do not gather at our health facilities to watch. Instead, please show your support by banging your own pots and pans when you hear the sirens go by, or find your own way to say thanks! If you miss it, we’ll have drone footage to share following the event.

Thank you, health care workers!
