Art, Community & Environment Festival
Sima Festival is a celebration of winter focused on reflecting, redefining and fostering our individual and collective relationship with the environment. It is centered on building community during the darkest months of the year through art, outdoor recreation, education, conversations and music.
Winter is a moment many people from around the world experience regardless of age, culture, history, skin colour, gender or social background. By gathering around the neutral theme of winter, this project seeks to uplift individuals and communities as environmental leaders by placing immense value on their lived experience of the territory.
The 2nd edition of the festival will be held in Terrace, BC, with activities in Hazelton, Kitselas, and Kitsumkalum from January 24 to 28, 2024.
This festival is presented by the Outdoor Artist Collective with support from the Province of British Columbia, Canada Council for the Arts, and Terrace Community Foundation, along with a long list of partners and collaborators. Check the links below for details and a link to the fundraiser page.
