Pink Shirt Day 2021

Pink Shirt Day 2021

When

On February 24, Wear Pink (or white—see below)!

This Pink Shirt Day, our focus is working together and treating others with dignity and respect. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all and shown the importance of helping one another and advocating for those who need it. Help us “lift each other up and support programs that encourage healthy self esteem and teach empathy, compassion, and kindness.

Did you know? This year’s shirt is actually white! According to the CKNW Kids’ Fund Pink Shirt Day organizers, “With so much understanding needed right now (especially online), this year’s shirt design features a powerful symbol: the pink rainbow, representing hope, opportunity, and the pride of LGBTQ2+ youth, a particularly vulnerable community that is more likely to face bullying behaviour in childhood. Our shirts may not be Pink this year, but our message is the same: BE KIND and treat everyone with respect and dignity.”

You can get merchandise to support this very important cause. 59,000+ youth were impacted by Pink Shirt Day–funded programs in 2020, with more than $2.5 million in net proceeds from this fundraiser distributed to youth anti-bullying programs throughout Western Canada. Wear your support!
