Kick off the summer by joining Northwest Escapes Ltd and BC Parks on June 2, 2018 to celebrate the new Visitor Centre at Furlong Bay. The grand opening ceremony, complete with ribbon cutting and cupcakes, starts at 1:00 pm, followed by a variety of family-friendly interactive activities and demos which include: - Guided walking tours - Arts and crafts - Bear-aware - Cultural activities - Environmental education; and - Dragon Boating* Bring the family out for a day of fun-filled activities and help us celebrate the new Visitor Centre at Lakelse Lake Provincial Park! * Please note: Join the Lakelse Dragon Boating Society at their booth to learn about dragon boating in Terrace and to sign up for a free paddle in their boat (weather permitting). Paddling sessions will be offered at 2:30 and 3:30 pm. You will be required to sign a waiver when you register. Youth aged 15 and over are welcome and will require a parent/guardian to sign their waiver. The Lakelse Dragons will give you a quick lesson before you board the boat for a fun paddle. Life jackets and paddles will be provided. Come and “Discover Your Inner Dragon”!
