Are You Thinking of Running for Council in 2022?

It takes great courage and a passion for your community to run for public office. With an upcoming municipal election next year, the Terrace & District Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Kitimat Chamber to offer a free virtual event with the key objectives to:

• Inform prospective candidates of the fundamentals of being a local government elected official and
• Help prospective candidates decide to run for office.

Presenter Allison Habkirk has over 30 years of experience in local government, including three terms in office as Mayor and Councillor for the District of Central Saanich. Allison will guide the discussion and talk about the ins and outs of what it takes to be a successful member of council.
