Mini Med School

When

BC Children’s Hospital, in partnership with the First Nations Health Authority, is pleased to announce the first ever Mini Med School in Terrace on Monday, May 1st. Join us in exploring up-to-the-minute basic science research, clinical applications and social and ethical implications of health research happening in BC. Admission is free but space is limited. Registration is open to high school students in grades 10-12, teachers/educators and members of the general public.

Weekly Drop-in Fibre Arts Space

Want to learn to knit, crochet, felt, embroider? Know how to knit? Come join this new community space. Knitting could be a way to lower anxiety, introduce focus into your life and others! • Bring your own fabric art project and your tools • TWRC will supply an open space, some yarn, tea and coffee! Drop-in Creative Writing Space

When

Come and enjoy a space to sit, have a tea, reflect, and be inspired to look within or outside, and maybe write about it. Absolute beginners welcome. Reflection and creativity is the only goal. There will be no feedback on writing, and sharing is optional. This is a creative space for you. No experience necessary! Monday afternoons, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM. Participants are welcome to stay after 2:30 PM to continue writing. This is a FREE drop-in group. Tea and coffee provided. Child-friendly location. This is a safe space, and people of all genders respectful of the space are welcome.

Remembrance Tea

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #13 will be hosting a Remembrance Tea at the Branch. Students and chaperones from Caledonia School who participated in a recent tour of European War Graves will be there to share their experiences and photos of their tour of Remembrance. This event is open to all. Please join us in honouring those brave Canadians who gave their lives so we who came after can live free.
