Kids Duathlon

When

Crystal Thomas has organized a Duathlon for kids 8-17 years.  Everyone is welcome to come and participate.

Varying distances for varying age groups.

All bike types are welcome - however helmets are mandatory. 

Cost is $20

Registration starts at 9am at the Longhouse NWCC

Terrace Downtown Improvement Area AGM

As a member of the Terrace Downtown Improvement Area you are invited to our Annual General Meeting.

Wednesday, May 24th @ 7:00 pm at the Elections BC office at 4746 Lakelse Avenue (next to Shoppers Drug Mart).

We will review last year's projects and events and discuss our plans for 2017.

We hope to see you there!!

Following the AGM we will be having a discussion on ideas and planning for our next five years.

Nass Valley Wild Medicine Free Workshop

Nourish and love. Learn several plants and remedies that heal, support and strengthen women, both during and after pregnancy,  promote breastfeeding and heal common ailments. We will also cover family remedies for children and adults, treating common conditions with wild  and traditional medicinal plants. Medicine Making : Hands on preparing of a simple tea and skin salve for personal use.

Evening Fabric Arts and Knit-Along

Fabric Arts is meeting in the evenings too! We provide the materials; bring yourself and have a relaxing evening of conversation and craft-making. For absolute beginners: Knit Along with Kara is also happening! Come learn how to knit with Kara. Everyone starts off with the same project, and we learn together as a group. Folks are free to stay after the lesson.

Hike for Hospice

Bring your family, bikes, dogs, strollers, wheelchairs, and walking shoes and join us to raise funds for the Rainbows Program that helps children grieve and grow after loss and raise awareness about the Society. Games, face painting, prizes, and barbecue. Pledge forms on website or at the Society. Walk with your Doc

We are super excited to announce Terrace’s FIRST annual “Walk with your Doc” event and would love to have your full support and participation!!! Sign up at www.walkwithyourdoc.ca Participants are invited to go for a walk, be it short or long, with their family doctor (even if you don’t have one yet). Walking is a simple and fun way for people of all ages and abilities to feel good and be fit. By adding just 30 minutes of brisk walking to your daily routine, you could: Lose weight. A 30 minute brisk walk can burn about 150 extra calories a day.
