The local metis community is hosting a stone soup at the picnic site on Ferry Island. Soup is started at noon. Bannock making starts next, lessons gladly given. You need to bring a chair, cup, and an addition to the soup: vegetables, grains, spices, whatever you would put in a soup. One soup is beef, one is chicken or vegetarian. Drop off your food and come back or stay and enjoy the bannock and company. Soup is served at 5 pm. This is an invitation for anyone who enjoys good food and good company.
