Stone Soup at Ferry Island

When

The local metis community is hosting a stone soup at the picnic site on Ferry Island. Soup is started at noon.  Bannock making starts next,  lessons gladly given. You need to bring a chair, cup, and an addition to the soup: vegetables, grains, spices, whatever you would put in a soup.  One soup is beef, one is chicken or vegetarian. Drop off your food and come back or stay and enjoy the bannock and company. Soup is served at 5 pm. This is an invitation for anyone who enjoys good food and good company. Kids Duathlon

When

Crystal Thomas has organized a Duathlon for kids 8-17 years.  Everyone is welcome to come and participate.

Varying distances for varying age groups.

All bike types are welcome - however helmets are mandatory. 

Cost is $20

Registration starts at 9am at the Longhouse NWCC

Terrace Downtown Improvement Area AGM

As a member of the Terrace Downtown Improvement Area you are invited to our Annual General Meeting.

Wednesday, May 24th @ 7:00 pm at the Elections BC office at 4746 Lakelse Avenue (next to Shoppers Drug Mart).

We will review last year's projects and events and discuss our plans for 2017.

We hope to see you there!!

Following the AGM we will be having a discussion on ideas and planning for our next five years.

Nass Valley Wild Medicine Free Workshop

Nourish and love. Learn several plants and remedies that heal, support and strengthen women, both during and after pregnancy,  promote breastfeeding and heal common ailments. We will also cover family remedies for children and adults, treating common conditions with wild  and traditional medicinal plants. Medicine Making : Hands on preparing of a simple tea and skin salve for personal use.
