After a four-year pilot project, our parklets are ready to move on to more permanent locations! Several businesses have now had the opportunity to try out the parklets in front of their storefronts during the summer months. Parklets have helped activate our downtown core, in alignment with the goals of our Downtown Action Plan. Now, we are passing the torch to local businesses looking for a more permanent, consistent outdoor space for the summer months.

What’s next? We are selling our two parklets—and they can be purchased together or separately. We will be accepting bids on one or both from any business with a downtown designation as indicated in the Official Community Plan. Our Parklet Design Guidelines are available for the winning bidder(s) to use for installation support and strategies. Other businesses looking to construct their own parklets from scratch can also use this guide to get started!
