Due to the ongoing warm and dry weather, the City of Terrace is extending the current ban on lawn sprinkling, which will remain in effect until weather conditions are more consistently wet and cool.

Hand watering of flowers, shrubs, and vegetable gardens or other food sources with a controlled nozzle may continue.

The City extends a big thank you to those complying with these restrictions—the water supply is now maintaining a more sustainable level than before the ban, which helps to ensure an adequate water supply is available for firefighting purposes. This is of vital importance during forest fire season. Under the City of Terrace Water Distribution and Sale Bylaw No. 1326-1993, violations may result in fines.

Further updates will be provided as soon as conditions allow adjustments in these restrictions.
