Pruning Seminar

Charles Claus of River Mist Farm and Cathy Jackson of Spotted Horse Nursery will be instructing. New this year: summer pruning. A hands-on overview and demonstration of basic prusing techniques. Knox United Church hosts "A Day for Love in Action."

From noon to 6 p.m. the church will be open for Sanctuary: a place of refuge, a safe haven, shelter from the storm. All people, all faith expressions (including no spiritual affiliation or preference) are invited to come and Be. Come alone or with friends.

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. "Voices Rise": Share words of hope, love, peace, inspiration, kindness, gratitude, grace. Speak, offer songs and poetry; offer prayers from various spiritual backgrounds, or no spiritual background.

Fine Dining: A student bursary fundraiser

Northwest Community College hosts its third annual fine dining event to raise money for students. Join us for a delicious four-course meal prepared by our culinary arts students. This semi-formal event will also feature live music by local band Copper Mountain Stringband. Cash bar and silent auction also available. Cocktails at 5. Dinner at 6.
