Kermode Friendship Society Community Christmas Dinner

Kermode Friendship Society hosts its 12th annual Community Christmas Dinner at the Elks Hall. Pre-registration is required. Two meals served to accommodate as many community members as possible. First meal is served at noon and the second meal is served at 3 p.m. Special guests Kody Kermode and Santa Claus. Limited seating so please pre-register with Jodie at Kermode's main building 250.635.4906.

Clothing and Toy Swap

Skeena Diversity Society and the City of Terrace Youth Advisory Committee are hosting a Clothing and Toy Swap on Saturday, December 3 1 to 4 pm.

Donations of clothes and toys will be collected Monday, November 28 to Friday, December 2 between 11 am to 6 pm at the Skeena Diversity Centre.  Donations will not be accepted on Saturday. We appreciate clean clothing, toys, or board games for all ages. Please bring only gently used, clean items in working condition. All remaining items will be donated to local thrift stores.

Adult Grief Support Group

Terrace Hospice Society is offering an Adult Grief Support Group for individuals and families struggling with loss once a week in a safe and comfortable setting with a trained facilitator as a six to eight week program at the hospice society office. Attendees must be 19 or older. If you are interested in attending, please call the hospice office at 250.635.4811.

Free Skate and Food Bank Drive

Celebrate National Child Day with a free skate at the Hidber Arena, and celebrate children's right to belong. The City of Terrace Youth Advisory Committee will be collecting donations for the NWCC Students' Food Bank. Sponsored by the Terrace Early Years Partnership Network.

 

Portraits of Local Women: A micro-exhibit

Portraits of Local Women: Micro-exhibit inspired by Women's History Month. Complex and multi-layered histories of a selection of women from the mid-1800s and early 1900s. Look over the historical documents and portrait photos. Feel free to drop in, bring old photos, tell stories, and have a tea. Partnership of Heritage Park Museum and Terrace Women's Resource Centre. **Date changed to Sunday November 20th, 1pm-3pm.
