Kalum Street Reconfiguration Project

The City is set to begin work on the Kalum Street Reconfiguration project. The street conversion, designed and planned with support from ICBC, is intended to reduce the volume and speed of traffic, improve safety, and encourage more cycling and pedestrian traffic.

Terrace Community Forest, an independently operated logging company owned by the City of Terrace, is giving $100,000 to eligible community organizations.

Grants to Non-Profit Organizations

We are now accepting applications from not-for-profit organizations for City of Terrace 2015 Grants and Terrace Community Forest 2015 Grants. The deadline is October 15. Unsure if your organization is eligible? Read our policy.

Former Mayor Jack Talstra Honoured with Naming of Road

The City of Terrace will honour long-serving former Mayor Jack Talstra by renaming “Industrial Way” in the Skeena Industrial Development Park to “Jack Talstra Way” in a street naming ceremony scheduled for early October.

Open Fires Permitted in Terrace

As of September 5, open fires including campfires are now allowed throughout the Northwest Fire Centre.

Candidate Information Session

The City of Terrace, Regional District of Kitimat‐Stikine and Coast Mountains Board of Education School District 82 will be hosting a Candidate Information Session on September 25, 2014 at 7PM in the downstairs training room at City Hall.

Aquatic Centre Closure

The Aquatic Centre will be closed for maintenance from 5PM Sunday, August 31 and will reopen Monday, October 6.
