General Info:

Registration is on a first-come first-served basis.  Payment must be made in full at the time of registration.  Activities will not be held on statutory holidays; however we encourage you to check with Terrace Leisure Services at 250.615.3000 or the Terrace Aquatic Centre at 250.615.3030 as they may be hosting special programming on those days.

Leisure Services doesn't ever want you to be disappointed.  If your class or choice is full, put your name on the waitlist.  We try everything in our power to create more classes to accommodate the waitlist.

You can register at either the Leisure Services Administration office or the Aquatic Centre for any of our programs.  Registration can be done over the phone if using MasterCard or VISA.

Refunds:

Refunds will be issued on the following basis:

  • Cancelled Programs - 100% refund or credit to account;
  • Medical Withdrawal - 100% refund if done prior to start of class/program or the prorated value will be refunded after the commencement of the class/program.  We ask that you submit a medical note upon withdrawal request.
  • Withdrawals other than those done for medical reasons will be charged an $8.00 administration fee.
  • Note - some programs may have special withdrawal fee considerations which will be indicated in any alert text or confirmation notice.

Participant Level:

The minimum number of participants is calculated based on what is required to cover costs (instructor, facility use, supplies, advertising, etc.)  The maximum number of participants is calculated based on safety considerations.

Why Great Activities Get Cancelled:

With work, school, play dates, and grocery shopping, it's sometimes difficult to remember to get your child's registration done.  If the minimum number of registrants is not met, activities will be cancelled 2-7 working days (depending on the course) before the start date.  This is necessary to give the instructor and facility sufficient notice, so in order to avoid disappointment we encourage you to register early.

We Care About Your Experience:

Your feedback is always welcome and important to our ability to develop quality activities that you'll enjoy and benefit from.  Often instructors and facilitators will provide you with an evaluation form at the end of each activity.  Take a moment to complete the form and return it to our Leisure Services Administrative Department.  You can also contact our offices at 250.615.3000 to voice your concerns or comments.  We would love to hear about an activity you enjoyed!

Registered vs. Drop-In Activities:

Activities that you must register for will have a number with its description.  Drop-in only will have no number.  For any drop-in activity, the fee should be given to the activity instructor or facilitator on each day of dropping in.
