Seniors and Disabled Housing Initiative

The City of Terrace continues to work closely with BC Housing in the final permit stages for the development of 24 units of accessible subsidized rental housing for seniors and disabled adults. The units will be constructed at 4620 Davis Avenue, former site of the Farmers' Market, in the summer of 2010. Applications for these rental units may now be placed with BC Housing.

BC Housing Application Process

It is anticipated that the 24-unit seniors and disabled housing project in Terrace will be ready for occupancy some time in the fall of 2010. Interested and qualifying seniors and/or disabled adults may apply to BC Housing at this time.

To apply, print off the pdf application form, and ensure you include the following specific wording on page 9 of the application:

Housing Preferences/Choices:

Option #1: Buildings - write "TERRACE INDEPENDENT SENIORS"
Option #2: Cities or Town - write "TERRACE, BC"

City Adopts Wood First Bylaw

On August 23, 2010, City of Terrace Council adopted a bylaw to encourage the use of wood first as a primary building material in the design and construction of City-funded buildings. 

Terrace Aquatic Centre Maintenance
