Snow Removal Program for Seniors and Physically Challenged Citizens

City of Terrace has a snow removal program for seniors and/or physically challenged citizens, which allows them to accrue the costs from hiring a service provider to remove snow from their driveways and/or windrow. The qualifying applicants of residential property can receive a rebate of 50% up to a maximum of $250.00 per winter.

Changes to Garbage and Recycling Collection System

Attention all Terrace Residents

The City of Terrace is moving to a system of automated garbage collection trucks and standardized recycling and garbage carts. The following information is provided to help answer some of the frequently asked questions we have received to date. See attached details.

New Automated Garbage & Recycling Collection System

The City of Terrace is moving to a new system of automated collection trucks with standarized carts for residential customers. Residents can expect to receive their new carts by the end of the year.

Cemetery Winter Clean Up

Effective November 1 to April 30 all above group ornamentation must be removed from the grave spaces at the Terrace Municipal Cemetery.  This includes borders, fencing, sheppard's hooks and ornamentation.  Note - headstones that have been raised after city installation are also considered above ground ornamentation.  The City of Terrace will not be held responsible for any damage to above ground ornamentation.

Aquatic Centre Schedule Change

Schedule Change - Free swim will be held Wednesday, Nov 25 6:45pm-8:00pm   Aquatic Centre will be closed 6:00pm on Friday, November 27.  Phone 250.615.3030 for more information.

Last Day of Compost Pick-up

Attention all Terrace Residents
Last Day for Curbside yard-waste compost and kitchen organics collection for this is year is on Monday, November 23, 2015. See attached poster.
