TERRACE – On Wednesday December 7, 2016 at approximately 02:00 am, the Terrace Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire on the 4700 block of Straume Ave.

Fire crews from Terrace responded within minutes and found the house fully charged with smoke. Heavy winds were present and Thornhill Fire mutual aid assisted in containing the fire to the building of origin with no damage to adjacent homes. The fire was extinguished using two fire trucks, 17 Terrace Fire department members, and 8 Thornhill members. There were no response personnel injured during the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time
