Welcome to the City of Terrace!

On behalf of Council, I extend my warmest greetings and encourage both visitors and residents to take advantage of all that Terrace has to offer.

We are surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty here in the “meeting place” of northwest British Columbia. Nestled along the Skeena River, our mountain community offers unparalleled outdoor activities including world class fishing, downhill skiing (with ultimate back country experiences), white water rafting thrills, a golf course with beautiful mountain scenery at every hole, endless hiking and mountain bike trails, clean air, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere that makes Terrace a wonderful place to live and visit. Take a look at our tourism website to get a better sense of our little paradise http://www.kermodeitourism.ca/

Terrace prides itself in being a regional centre for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.

Our community is rich in history and culture. Our First Nation people of Terrace and the surrounding area are one of the oldest populations in North America still occupying the same land as their ancestors. http://www.northbceh.com/terrace/firstnations.htm. The art, stories, and spirit of the Tsimshian and Nisga’a people are inspiring.

For those of you viewing our website from out of town, we extend an invitation to you to visit our community in person to see why we are so proud of Terrace!

Dave Pernarowski, Mayor—City of Terrace
