Contest Winners Announced for BC Transit Anniversary Celebrations in Terrace

As part of the Riverboat Days celebrations, BC Transit is please to announce the five Terrace residents who entered and won a special online contest from July 22 -  July 27. Kid CANsail - Camp NEW DATES ADDED - August 3-7

Kids CANsail has added another week of Sailing Camp for kids 6-14 years old. August 3-7, 2015 or August 10-17, 2015 9:00 - 3:30pm. There is a 20% discount if you have sailed in a camp already. Long-Time Resident Yvonne Moen to be Honoured as Freeman of Terrace

Mayor Carol Leclerc and Council will bestow the honour of Freeman of the City of Terrace upon long-time resident Yvonne Moen during the Riverboat Days Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m.

Effective immediately, the City of Terrace is rescinding the campfire ban issued on July 13, 2015.

Campfire ban rescinded in Northwest Fire Centre

Effective at noon on Wednesday July 22, 2015, campfires will once again be
allowed throughout the Northwest Fire Centre's jurisdiction.

Applications for Property Tax Exemption Accepted Until August 31, 2015

The City of Terrace is now accepting applications from not-for-profit organizations for 2016 Property Tax Exemptions. The application deadline is August 31, 2015.

Committee of the Whole Meeting

There will be a Committee of the Whole meeting at noon on Wednesday, July 15 to receive a presentation from the BC Lottery Corporation.

Campfire Ban Lifted for Ferry Island - Burning Ban in Place for Rest of Terrace

Effective today, the prohibition on campfires on Ferry Island has been lifted. The ban on campfires in the rest of the City of Terrace remains in place at this time.
