General Info
The Leisure Services Department is responsible for the management and operation of the Sportsplex, Aquatic Centre, cemeteries and over 100 hectares of park lands and amenities throughout the community.
Leisure Services Department is proud of its parks, with over 30 km of multi-use trails, bike skills park, 7 ball diamonds, 8 soccer pitches, skateboard park, 5 tennis courts, bocci courts, horseshoe pits, numerous playgrounds and George Little Park located in the heart of our downtown.
The Department is also responsible for the administration of the Kitsumkalum Cemetery and the Terrace Municipal Cemetery.
The Aquatic Centre is a popular facility with young and old alike. It includes a main pool, leisure pool, hot tub, fitness centre and 2 saunas. The facility offers all the regular pool programs as well as a variety of first aid courses.
The Sportsplex is the newest public facility in the community and features 2 arenas, 2 multi-purpose rooms and a conference room. The facility is now open year-round for sporting activities and is host to several large events such as conferences and trade shows.

Leisure Services Department - Philosophy and Goals
- The Leisure Services Department is committed to working with and for the community to deliver quality recreation programs and services to the citizens of Terrace;

Aquatic Centre

Cemetery Administration
The Leisure Services Department is responsible for the administration of the Kitsumgallum and Municipal Cemeteries.
Ferry Island Campground
Ferry Island is our municipal campground, comprised of 103 campsites, and conveniently located 3.5 km from downtown Terrace.
George Little Park
George Little Park is situated in the heart of downtown Terrace. The Park was named after the town founder George Little.
Park Bench Donations
The City of Terrace invites individuals or service clubs to sponsor a Park Bench.

The City administers several programs to assist families that wish to participate in sport and recreational activities.
Sportsplex
The Terrace Sportsplex has dry arena floor, banquet and meeting facilities available for rent this summer.
