The Development Services Department is responsible for:
- Engineering, including infrastructure design and project management for major capital works;
- Planning, including long-range planning and the processing of zoning, subdivision, development permit and variance permit applications;
- Sustainability, including community and corporate;
- Building inspections and business licencing, including plan reviews and inspection services;
- Mapping and GIS;
- Bylaw enforcement; and
- Animal control.
